At long last - the Dell Adamo will finally be made available to the masses. Perhaps you can safely say that this is the best looking Dell notebook to date, even though Dell has moved forward pretty much in terms of design over the years, nothing holds a candle to the Adamo once you lay your eyes on it. The Adamo is also the first product under the new Adamo by Dell brand, and it offers premium craftsmanship and design inspires new aesthetic across Dell family of products.

In a marketing propaganda, Adamo by Dell was specially created to disrupt people’s perceptions of what personal computing is today. Let’s take a look at what this svelte new notebook offers. Touted by Dell to be the world’s thinnest notebook, the Adamo will definitely have MacBook Air fans up in arms as their favorite notebook has just been usurped, of all things, not by one of their own, but a Windows-powered machine instead. Bitter rivalry aside, the Adamo (meaning “to fall in love” in Latin) will be the flagship model in a line of products that was developed to disrupt the personal computing space by merging new design aesthetics, personalization choices and sought-after technologies. The chassis itself is milled from a single piece of aluminum (sounds familiar here…), boasting precision detailing and a… Read more »

The Fly GoodBye Pistol Will Make Pest Chasing FUN

fly goodbye pistol
I will be the first to admit that my hatred for bugs is a strong and unwavering one. I’m aware that a lot of bugs are necessary for the environment, but I still like them best when they’re dead. At least indoors, outdoors I don’t mind them as much. However, the down side with killing them usually means I have to smash them onto some surface and then clean up the mess. A predicament that I despise almost as much as I do bugs. Well soon you can pick up the Fly-Goodbye Pistol, which solves the bug and mess issues. It not only solves the obnoxious mess dead bugs create, but it gives you the fun of shooting the fly. Shooting a fly is far more fun than smacking one.

Best Waterproof Camera - Canon Powershot D10 Captures Underwater Action

Canon Powershot D10
If you do a lot of activities outdoors and want to take along a camera with you, a lot of times the average camera won’t work. Especially if you do anything involving water or cold temperatures, since both situations can have damaging conditions for the average camera. Well instead of taking along the regular digital camera, you could bring along the Canon PowerShot D10

It’s waterproof up to 10 meters, dustproof and freeze proof up to -10 degrees (Celsius). It’s also shockproof, meaning it could be dropped 1.22 meters and still be fine. If that isn’t enough to keep the camera safe, there is also a range of optional accessories that will protect the camera in extreme conditions. The camera also features a 3x optical zoom, 35mm wide angle and 640×480 maximum resolution videos, a 2.5” LCD and a 12.1 MP sensor.

Plus having a Face Self-Timer, Blink Detection, Face Select & Track and Smart Auto Mode and Auto Red-Eye Correction. For the outdoorsy type, you just can’t beat all of these features for a somewhat reasonable price of $329

Digital Door Viewer a High Tech Security System

Here’s another way to replace that security peephole with something a little more hi-tech. There are several different models and brand names with these, you just have to find the one that’s best for your home. With this you have a large display showing you who is on the other side of the door. Likely with this no one will be able to use a reverse peephole viewer on your door either. Not that everyone has them, but if you’re into conspiracy theories, it’s one way to make sure no one can view what’s on the inside of your house from the peephole.

Installation is said to be extremely easy and apparently the design of the peephole and LCD panel would make it extremely difficult for this to be stolen. The LCD panel itself has a protective lens cover and there are no directly accessible fasteners, wires or connectors. The best perk with these is that you get an expanded view, instead of the usual distorted short view. The viewer acts on a stand alone function, and requires no external power wiring or monitor displays.

Samsung TL320
Samsung Electronics isn’t exactly a name synonymous with quality digital cameras, but they’re getting there slowly. This time round, the Korean consumer electronics company has announced two more 12 megapixel compact digital camera models for the US that will be equipped with 24mm ultra-wide angle Schneider lenses. First off is the new Samsung TL320 that raises the bar for innovation in the digital imaging industry, as Samsung claims this is the first digital camera to feature a 3″ AMOLED display with HVGA resolution in the world. As for the new HZ15W, it boasts one of the most powerful lenses where compact point-and-shoots are concerned with an impressive focal length of 24-240mm (35mm film equivalent).

Let us take a look at the Samsung TL320 first - it goes above and beyond the traditional call of duty for compact point-and-shoot digital cameras, bringing the following impressive features that will more than whet your appetite. Apart from the mentioned Schneider lens earlier, you will also find a powerful 5x optical zoom, an AMOLED display that has a contrast ratio of 10,000:1 (making it easy to view even when you’re under direct sunlight) for darker black levels and more vibrant colors, 720p High Definition video recording, HDMI connectivity, Optical and Digital Image Stabilization, aperture priority, shutter priority

, full manual shooting and Samsung’s own Advanced Picture Mode.

As for the Samsung HZ10W, you will get a 24mm ultra-wide angle Schneider lens with 10x optical zoom, Optical and Digital Image Stabilization, 720p High Definition video recording, HDMI connectivity, a 3″ LCD display and manual shooting mode. This and the TL320 will toe the line when it comes to DSLR territory, but it does offer a foretaste of what the Promised Land of digital cameras is like. The Samsung TL320 and Samsung HZ10W will be available in May and March respectively, with the former going for $379 while the latter retails for #329. Considering all you get, that’s not that shabby at ALL.

Use the Surfster Double Black Ice Snow Sled All Year Long

Wintertime is fun time for kids with ice water in their veins. They love to snowboard, ski, hell, they’ll even take cardboard and slide down a snow covered hill in search for a chilly rush. Toboggans have been required winter gear since before Citizen Kane named his Rosebud. Many enjoy flying down hill in tandem, but the Surfster Double Black Ice Snow Sled makes flying down hill side by side and even more fun since you can see the reaction of your copilot as you fly downhill. But there is more to the beauty of this gadget as well. The Double Black works great in cold weather, but thanks to it’s reinforced nylon and foam straps, it can also work as a water tow in summertime.

Body boarders in the ocean can even enjoy hanging ten (okay, not ten since you lay on it) on ocean waves. Its bladder is rated to 30 degrees below zero and is inflatable through a Boston valve with an adapter to inflate it using conventional tire inflation methods. It’s three snow track will make steering the Double Black easier as occupants shift from side to side. Originally with an suggested retail price of $160, it’s now on sale for $80 from Cheetah Trading, which, for its all season potential is pretty darn good if you are an all year outdoors type.
